Full Face ExampleFrequently Asked Questions

How long has Nancy Fonfara at the Permanent Cosmetic Clinic been doing permanent makeup? Nancy has been applying permanent makeup since 2001. This is her area or expertise. She has completed several hundred successful procedures. Most of her clients come to her through past clients or physician’s referral.

How much does it cost? The cost of the procedure should not be the most important issue when considering putting something permanent on your face. Realistically, you should plan to pay at least $400.00 - $600.00 for any new permanent cosmetic procedure. If you are shopping "price" alone, please be wary! You do not want to have to relive your decision to shop price instead of experience each day when you look at yourself in the mirror.

How is permanent makeup applied? At the Permanent Cosmetic Clinic (PCC), permanent cosmetics are applied using the manual Softap® method. This premier state of the art technique was medically developed and designed for a completely safe, very controlled, gentle application of color.

Is it safe? Absolutely! At PCC the pigments used are hypoallergenic and MRI safe. All needles and supplies are single use and disposable. Eyebrows and lips are drawn on and client approved before any permanent work is done. You will be in good health and pleased with your results when you leave the Permanent Cosmetic Clinic.

What is the recovery time? Typically 4 - 7 days depending on the procedure. There will be some slight redness and swelling in the treated areas, but that dissipates quickly. Most clients continue with their normal daily routines, but avoid scheduling important social engagements during the healing process.

Does it hurt? There is some discomfort, however, excellent topical anesthetic ointments are used to keep clients comfortable. Most clients are pleasantly surprised to find the procedure much more tolerable than they had expected. All agree that the benefits of permanent makeup far outweigh the slight discomfort that they experienced during their treatment.

How long do permanent cosmetics last? Permanent makeup is considered “permanent” because it does not smudge or wash off. The color will, however, fade over time. Most clients have their permanent makeup refreshed every few years to keep the color looking it’s best. Color maintenance services are offered at a discount to previous Permanent Cosmetic clients.

Can I wear traditional makeup over my permanent makeup?
Absolutely! Permanent makeup is designed to be only an enhancement to your natural features. Many clients will add to their permanent makeup for a unique look, or for special occasions. This is a personal choice.
